It was a great night for Harrison Boys Cross Country at the Nike XC Town Twilight Invitational at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute. The meet brought together some of the best teams from Indiana and several other states, giving the Raiders another opportunity to compete against high-level, multi-state competition as we get closer to the state tournament. Harrison finished 20th overall in the Race of Champions, competing against a large field filled with some of the top programs in the region. Jacob Tilton led the Raiders with a 15:49.7, followed closely by Alex King at 15:53.6. Logan Breon ran 16:09.3, Jango Lane finished in 16:22.3, and Morgen Weathers rounded out the scoring five in 16:39.4. The Raiders' top five averaged approximately 16:11. The JV team had an outstanding night as well, finishing 4th overall in a very competitive field. Liam Findlay led the way for Harrison, continuing to show the depth that has become one of the team's biggest strengths this season. The performance from the JV group was especially encouraging as the Raiders continue to develop the runners who will be important to the program in the postseason and in future seasons. Overall, Twilight was another great step forward for Harrison. We were able to compete against outstanding competition from multiple states, see how we stack up against some of the best teams in the area, and continue building momentum heading into the most important part of our season. With the postseason quickly approaching, the Raiders will continue to focus on getting better every day and putting themselves in the best possible position for a strong state tournament run.
