The Lady Raiders faced a strong Benton Central team last night in an exciting four-set match that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Both teams battled hard from the opening serve, with neither willing to give up an inch. The Raiders ultimately came out on top, earning a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Benton Central. The set scores were 25-23, 25-23, 23-25, and 25-22. The Raiders showed determination and composure throughout the match, especially in the close sets. After taking the first two sets, Benton Central fought back to claim the third, but the Raiders answered with a strong performance in the fourth set to secure the win. Leading the way offensively was Gia Stokes, who finished the night with an impressive 25 kills. Eva Stokes added another 12 kills to help keep the Raider offense moving. Defensively, Mattea Capozzi and Story Nixon each recorded 19 digs, making key plays to keep rallies alive. Nixon also had a tremendous night setting the offense, finishing with 51 assists. It was an exciting team effort from start to finish, with the Raiders showing the fight and determination needed to come away with the victory.
